stonersDear Epaphras,
This Saturday, Sara and I leave for Budapest and Vienna. We will be visiting Doug and Tricia Stoner – pictured here with their kids Megan and Ryan. Doug is the PIONEERS area leader over the Czech republic, Slovakia, Slovenia and Austria. They live in Vienna. We will be with them for two days. Our goal/purpose for the trip is simple, to encourage them and seek the Lord together. Ask the Lord to empower and strengthen Doug and Tricia as they develop and mentor teams and leaders in these countries.

Secondly, we will visit Dr. Milen Minkov and the hospital he works from in Vienna. Dr. Minkov has done extensive research on Julia’s disease (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency) and has agreed to meet with us and potentially oversee Julia’s treatment from Vienna – which is only 2 1/2 hours from Budapest. Please pray for a favorable meeting. We are also trusting God that Dr. Minkov will have contacts in Budapest in the case of an emergency.

Third, in Budapest we will meet with several mission and church leaders this Sunday to talk about the future sending of Hungarian and European missionaries to PI church planting teams worldwide. Pray the Lord would give wisdom and inspire these meetings. We are still asking the Lord for a team to lead mobilization in continental Europe. Pray also for Steve this Sunday as he preaches at a church our PIONEERS team planted in Budapest.

Lastly, we will attempt to visit the girls’ future school (ICSB), find a storage facility and a moving company for our move in December, sort out necessary visa requirements and visit with our teammates; Janet, Jason and Tahran.

Annie and Julia, who started school this week, will be staying here in France with our pastor’s family for the weekend and then Lauren, our Aussie teammate, will watch them until we return next Thursday evening.

Thanks for standing with us and for your partnership in the Gospel,

Steve (for the Curreys)
